Join in on the fun at Tecumseh's Summer Beach Party! Lots of fun activities have been added to this event: FRIDAY & SATURDAY: This year we have added new exciting activities! A Sand Sculpture event - Sand in Tecumseh - Sculptors from Ice Creations in Napoleon, Ohio will pack the sand on Wednesday and begin the carving on Thursday. This will be fun and interesting process as spectators can watch them create works of art from sand. The sculptors will continue to sculpt on Friday the 28th. DAVID ZINN - SIDEWALK CHALK ARTIST: David is a well-known chalk artist from the Ann Arbor area. He will be doing a demonstration of how to make chalk art come to life while creating a one-of-a-kind work of art on the sidewalk in Downtown Tecumseh. KIDS FUN DAY ACTIVITIES: At corner of South Pearl & Chicago Blvd. Some of the activities will include: Sand Box - sea shells/treasure hunt coins • Limbo • Putt Putt Golf CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT: Tournament will be Friday from 7pm until approximately 10pm in the Southwest parking lot. Tecumseh Parks and Rec Center along with Killshots Cornhole will be coordinating this event. More details to follow. The Tecumseh Farmers Market at The Market on Evans - Will be open Saturday with fresh local produce, breads and pastries, handmade items, antiques and vintage items for you to purchase from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Pet Parade Saturday 10am. The theme for the pet parade this year is "Wizard of Pawz". We can hardly wait to see who is walking down the yellow brick road. More details will be available closer to the event. If you prefer to watch the parade it will start at the corner of W. Chicago Blvd and Pearl Street traveling down the Boulevard to Ottawa Street and returning back down the Boulevard to the Presbyterian Church. Call 517-424-6818 for Summer Beach Party information.
