History Buff?

Community Center

As you stroll downtown you can see rich the historic past we enjoy, with the beautifully detailed building and facades. Look carefully at the interesting architectural features in the buildings and it brings to mind the details and pride taken in the original construction of these timeless buildings.

The Union Block features the building originally known as the Lilley State Bank and boasts the original marble counter area and bank vault; this historic building is one you won't want to miss. Take a step back in time and enjoy a delicious ice cream treat as you appreciate the ambience of the historic surroundings.

The historic depot, originally known as the Tecumseh Junction Depot is one of our signature buildings that greets you into the downtown area as you enter from the east. Its unique gingerbread adds to the charm of this 1800's structure, which was moved from its original location on south Evans Street to the existing site in 1986.

The Tecumseh area has unique and inviting antique shops and consignment shops waiting for you to explore. Spend the day enjoying the many treasures that are on display... you might just find that perfect accent to your home, or a special gift for a friend or family member.
