Appleumpkin/Kapnick Orchard’s Apple Festival Cancelled for 2020

Tecumseh, MI -- After thoughtful consideration and evaluation of the current cases of COVID-19 in Lenawee County, and for the safety of our community, the Appleumpkin Committee and Kapnick Orchards have decided to cancel the 2020 Appleumpkin Festival and Kapnick Orchard’s Apple Festival.  We are thankful for everyone’s continued support and we are already at work planning exciting new activities for the 2021 Festivals!  We look forward to seeing all of you October 9th and 10th of 2021

Based on data in June, the Committee was initially hopeful that with additional road closures and increased safety precautions a festival could take place safely. However, given the recent upward trend of new cases and the Governor’s latest Executive Orders, it became clear that a safe festival was not possible for 2020.

For questions or concerns contact Jan Fox, Appleumpkin Chairperson at 517-423-3735.

We encourage you to follow the Governor’s Executive Orders and adhere to CDC guidelines in order to reduce the threat from COVID-19.
