The leaves are falling from the trees, the morning air has a certain crispness to it, this can only mean one thing in Lenawee County; it's time for Tecumseh's Appleumpkin Festival.
You'll want to bring the whole gang to town for this one. The kids will enjoy the midway rides, carnival games, inflatables and make-it-take-it crafts, straw maze, corn box and kid's putt putt golf. Plus, helicopter and monster truck rides!
The Antique Street Fair and Flea Market will keep you captivated for hours.
The Arts & Crafts Show brings wonderfully handcrafted creations into Tecumseh.
Do you need a scarecrow for your front lawn? Well you're in luck, you can make your very own at the Appleumpkin Festival. That's right, spend a little quality fun time with your family, and craft your own scarecrow, all for free! You'll find everything you need under the Make-it-Take-it Scarecrow Tent.
Looking for live entertainment? Stop by one of four stages throughout the festival and take in the live performances. There is something for everyone to enjoy throughout the weekend. Plus Sunday features the Bushels of Talent - Talent Competition starting at 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm, with the awards presentation at 3:30 pm. It's all happening at the Evans Street Stage on south Evans.
All this fun is sure to work up an appetite. Good thing we invited so many of your favorite fair food vendors to town for the weekend. Want to sit down and rest a spell? Our Tecumseh restaurants are ready to serve you a delicious meal while you relax.

A FREE parking is available in and around the Downtown area as well as at Tecumseh High School Shuttle on the westend of town. A FREE shuttle service is available to transport festival goers Downtown and to the Kapnick Orchards Apple Festival.
Tecumseh's Appleumpkin Festival is held in conjunction with Kapnick Orchards Apple Festival. You can take a short drive out to the apple orchard and enjoy fresh apples, cider and donuts. Wagon rides, a petting zoo and over 80 craft booths are just some of the highlights at the Kapnick Orchards Apple Festival.

Your children will love the Kiwanis TMS Builders Club and THS National Honor Society "Ghoul School" Haunted House. It will be located at 212 N Ottawa - in the Tecumseh Public Schools Administration Building. Families can use Shawnee St. or Ottawa St. entrances. We will charge $3 a child and $1 accompanying adult. We will feature: Stairway scares, elementary haunted house, scary movie clips and a high school haunted house as well as carnival games for children under 10. Hours are Saturday, October 8 11am-3pm and Sunday, October 9 1pm-3pm.
Tecumseh American Legion Chicken Broil - Will be held on Saturday from noon to 4 pm. Be sure to stop by for a delicious chicken dinner. Half a chicken with the fixings. Price $9.00 eat inside. The Legin is located at the corner of Pottawatamie St. and South Evans.
St. Elizabeth Church Roast Beef Dinner - Sunday 11:30 am - 5:30 pm 506 N Union Street. Enjoy this annual event with Amish style roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, vegetables and dessert. Dine in and carry out is available. Adults $10.00 - children 6 to 12 years $6.00 - 5 and under free.
