Tecumseh's Garage Sales
Due to concerns over the safety/spread of Corona Virus, the City Wide Garage Sales are being postponed with a reschedule date to be announced at a later date.
It's spring cleaning time... time to clean out the closets... move things out of the garage and make space in your home. And it just so happens, you're in luck, it's time for Tecumseh's Garage Sales! So dust off those old treasures, sort thru those clothes you haven't worn in ages and put them out to sell! Tecumseh Pickers will be anxiously waiting to see what special bargains they can find during the sales which will run May 7-9 throughout Tecumseh and Tecumseh Township.
City Wide Garage Sale Event
For the 2020 City-wide Garage Sale, City Residents can participate PERMIT FREE. That's right! There will be no permits required for the 3-day event. You may run your sale from May 7-9, 2020 starting at 9 am until the closing time you desire.
Please note effective 2020, instead of providing a map with the list of participating residents, we ask that those who would like to advertise the address of their sale to please post a comment within the Facebook event listed below. This will allow for the most up to date information as often there were addresses not included on the map due to deadlines for layout, printing etc. Please visit https://www.facebook.com/events/1108665709475917/ To post about your sale and/or view locations and information about other garage sales happening that weekend.
Thank you all for your participation in this fun and free event! As a picker please note not all sales run all three days and new sales will start daily.
Some helpful suggestions for those of you holding a garage sale.
Some Good Advice:
- Several garage sales on a street bring many buyers, so encourage your neighbors to participate.
- Make sure your yards and walkways are free of holes and debris that might be a trip hazard.
- City allows only one sign per property, even during this sale.
- Goodwill of Adrian will have a truck parked at City Hall on Saturday, May 9th from 3 - 6 pm. Residents who are hosting a garage sale are welcome to drop off any unsold items during that time.
