Summer Beach Party

Join in on the fun at Tecumseh's Summer Beach Party! Lots of fun activites have been added to this event:


FRIDAY & SATURDAY: This year we have added new exciting activities! A Sand Sculpture event - Sand in Tecumseh - will showcase the creation of five 5 ton sand sculptures. Sculptors from Ice Creations in Napoleon, Ohio will pack the sand on Thursday and begin the carving on Friday at 10 am. This will be fun and interesting process as spectators can watch them create works of art from sand.

There will be Food Vendor Trucks downtown from Kona Shaved Ice & Doll n' Burgers.

SIDEWALK CHALK DRAWING CONTEST: Come show off you artistic ability drawing in chalk.  Artists will be assigned a specific square downtown to make their chalk drawing.  The artists will will be broken up into 2 age groups; 0-12 years and 13+ years.  One lucky winner from each age group will receive a t-shirt and gift card courtesy of G & J Frosty.  Click here to enter into the contest.  Open registration will also be available if spots are available on Saturday July 17th from 9am-11am at the corner of S. Pearl and E. Chicago Blvd.  All art work needs to be completed by 2pm on Satuday July 17th.              

SHOPPING RAFFLE:  Shop with the participating merchants and receive a raffle ticket for each of your purchases.  Your raffle tickets will entered in a drawing for a chance to win 1 of 3 $25 chamber checks. The more purchases you make, the more raffle tickets you can enter.

KIDS FUN DAY ACTIVITIES: At corner of South Pearl & Chicago Blvd. Saturday - Noon to 4 pm
Some of the activities will include:  Sand Box - sea shells/treasure hunt coins • Limbo • Putt Putt Golf  

CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT:  Friday night pool play begins at 6:00pm. Top two teams from each pool advance to single elimination play on Saturday beginning at 10:30am.  Boards will be open 1 hour before play begins. 

Cost: Pre-registration $25/team     Day of Registration $50/team.

Tecumseh Fire Department's Drive Thru Pancake Breakfast: 8:00 am - 11:00 am This year the event will be drive thru only. 

Breakfast will be pancakes, sausage, bacon and your choice of drink (Coffee, water, milk or juice) Cost is by donation. It's delicious food and your donation supports the Fire Department.  The Fire Department is located at 101 E. Russell Rd. Call 517-423-4545 for details. 


The Tecumseh Farmers Market at The Market on Evans - Will be open Saturday with fresh local produce, breads and pastries, handmade items, antiques and vintage items for you to purchase from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Pet Parade at 10:00 am downtown on Saturday The theme for the parade will be  "First Responders".  Dress up you favorite pet in their best "first responder" theme attire and come down for a fun time. Pet Parade judging will begin at 9:15 am and will finish at 9:45 at the east side of the First Presbyterian Church please stop at the registration table for your number and instructions. Registration fee is a pet food donation to be given the Lenawee Humane Society.

Saturday morning at 10:00 am bring your pet and join the fun for the 18th annual Pet Parade!

The 2021 pet parade theme is first responders. Pet owners have the opportunity to unleash your inner "creative self" and have fun dressing your cat, dog, hamster, bunny, horse! Join us for this fun event that showcases the charm of our downtown, not to mention Tecumseh's community spirit.

Pets and owners may gather at the First Presbyterian Church yard at the corner of North Pearl and Chicago Blvd. beginning at 9:15 am to get their registration number for judging. The parade will begin at 10:00 am. Pets and owners alike delight in parading down Chicago Boulevard, ending at Adams Park, located adjacent to City Hall. Once at the park, judges will deliberate and award prizes to the Judges Choice favorites - prizes will be awarded for the "Favorite Pet Costumes." Prizes are donated by Red Mill Pet Supplies and Companion Animal Clinic and Tasty Treats by Heather White.  There is no registration fee, but we do ask that participants bring a can or bag of pet food that can be donated to local pets in need. Come on down and join the fun!!!

An essential component of theater and the arts in general has always been adaptability. Tecumseh Center for the Arts is committed to the safety of our patrons while promoting creativity in our county. Until the building is able to open safely and accommodate guests, we will continue to make renovations, make plans for future programs, develop and expand upon art displays.


In order to stay flexible, the theater will now be planning events further than one month in advance. Please visit for updates!
