classic animated version of “Aladdin”
Friday, August 14th beginning at dusk (approx 9:00 pm.)
at Aden Mead Park located at 211 South Occidental in Tecumseh.
(Please note this is a new location for this event only)
Please note social distance spacing and face masks will be observed for the movie.
Attendance will be limited to 100 people.
Gates will open at 8:00 pm. The movie will be FREE.
However, (if you are able) we would like you to bring a pet supply donation to be given to the Lenawee County Humane Society to help out our furry friends.
Movies in the Park is coordinated by the City of Tecumseh and the Tecumseh Parks & Recreation Department.

Join in on the fun at Tecumseh's Summer Beach Party! Lots of fun activites have been added to this event:
FRIDAY & SATURDAY: This year we have added new exciting activities! A Sand Sculpture event - Sand in Tecumseh - will showcase the creation of two 5 ton sand sculptures. Sculptors from Ice Creations in Napoleon, Ohio will pack the sand on Thursday and begin the carving on Friday at 10 am and will finish the sculptures on Saturday afternoon. This will be fun and interesting process as spectators can watch them create works of art from sand.

Tecumseh's Annual Sidewalk Sales - Merchants will offer great deals during their annual sidewalk sales on July 17 & 18 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. With some stores offering extended hours on Friday morning and evening.
SATURDAY: Start your day Saturday at the Tecumseh Fire Department's Pancake Breakfast from 8:00 am - 10:00 am (cost by donation) it's delicious food and your donation supports the Fire Department. They are also planning an Open House from 10:00 am to Noon. The Fire Department is located at 101 E. Russell Rd. Call 517-423-4545 for details.
The Tecumseh Farmers Market at The Market on Evans - Will have special hours on Thursday 4 pm to 7 pm. Plus be open as usual on Saturday with fresh local produce, breads and pastries, handmade items, antiques and vintage items for you to purchase from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
On Saturday join us for the annual Pet Parade at 10:00 am downtown this year's parade will have "Foodie" theme. Dress up you favorite pet in their best "food" theme attire and come down for a fun time. Pet Parade judging will begin at 9:15 am and will finish at 9:45 at the east side of the First Presbyterian Church please stop at the registration table for your number and instructions. Registration fee is a pet food donation to be given the Lenawee Humane Society.
There will be Food Vendor Trucks downtown offering different treats such as Carmel Corn, Kona Shaved Ice, Twin Pines Ice Cream and Sunset Ridge food items.
KIDS FUN DAY ACTIVITIES: At corner of South Pearl & Chicago Blvd. Saturday - Noon to 4 pm
• Sand Box - sea shells/treasure hunt coins • Limbo • Putt Putt Golf • Duck Pond
• Pinewood Derby Cars (at 1:00 pm until they are gone) Saturday beginning at 1:00 pm, kids 10 and under are invited to make a pinewood derby car, decorate it and race it on the track located downtown. This fun activity is sponsored by Tecumseh Plywood.

Saturday morning at 10:00 am bring your pet and join the fun for the 17th annual Pet Parade!
The 2020 pet parade will have a fun "food theme" - Pet owners have the opportunity to unleash your inner "creative self" and have fun dressing your cat, dog, hamster, bunny, horse and... yourself or the entire family in a food costume! Join us for this fun event that showcases the charm of our downtown, not to mention Tecumseh's community spirit.
Pets and owners may gather at the First Presbyterian Church yard at the corner of North Pearl and Chicago Blvd. beginning at 9:15 am to get their registration number for judging. The parade will begin at 10:00 am. Pets and owners alike delight in parading down Chicago Boulevard, ending at Adams Park, located adjacent to City Hall. Once at the park, judges will deliberate and award prizes to the Judges Choice favorites - prizes will be awarded for the "Favorite Pet Costumes." Prizes are donated by Red Mill Pet Supplies and Companion Animal Clinic and Tasty Treats by Heather White. There is no registration fee, but we do ask that participants bring a can or bag of pet food that can be donated to local pets in need. Come on down and join the fun!!!
