A Trolley Tour & Home Tour

A New Promenade for 2017!  You’ll feel like you have traveled back in time as you hear the stories and lore of Tecumseh. View the beautiful architecture of historic homes and buildings on the journey through Tecumseh’s quaint neighborhoods, downtown and beautiful parks. Approximately 90-minute guided tour aboard an air conditioned comfortable trolley.  Visitors will enjoy a trolley tour through Tecumseh and admission to the two never been featured homes during this one-day event from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. 

Tickets are $12 per person and must be purchased in advance at the Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce, in person at 132 W. Chicago Blvd. or by phone at 517.423.3740. 

Trolley tours will depart from the Gloria Dei Church at 108 Brown Street. Advance tickets purchased by phone may be picked up at a "will call" window the day of the event starting at 11:00 am at the church so visitors can tour the two featured homes anytime during the day between 11:00 am and 6:00 pm.

The two featured homes included in the ticket price are located at 603 W. Chicago Blvd. and 503 N. Evans St.

Join in on the fun and savings during Tecumseh's Annual Sidewalk Sales. This year, merchants will offer great deals during their annual sidewalk sales on July 20 & 21 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. With some stores offering extended hours on Friday morning and evening.

Start your day Saturday at the Tecumseh Fire Department's Pancake Breakfast from 8:00 am - 10:00 am (cost by donation).  They are also planning an Open House from 10:00 am to Noon. A Survival Flight Helicopter Landing is scheduled for 9:30 am (weather permitting). The Fire Department is located at 101 E. Russell Rd. Call 517-423-4545 for details.

The Summer Street Party and Beer Tent & BBQ will be hosted by Evans Street Station. They will serve food and beverages Friday & Saturday, from 4 pm to midnight. Live music will be performed both days from 7 pm to 11:30 pm, Friday features Scoobie Snaks and Saturday features All Directions. Bring your friends and family down for games, live entertainment, great food and beer!

Fun activities are planned to compliment this great annual Sidewalk Sales event. Corn hole, ladder ball, pachinko, facepainting, duck pond and a bean bag toss game are a few of the activities for kids to enjoy. Of course the giant sand box will be out for kids to play in and new this year we will have putt putt golf on the southwest block. Plus, Saturday beginning at 1:00 pm, kids 10 and under are invited to make a pinewood derby car, decorate it and race it on the track located at South Evans Street. This fun activity is sponsored by Tecumseh Plywood. The Tecumseh Farmers Market has moved to North Evans St at The Market on Evans - they will be open Saturday with fresh local produce, handmade items, antiques and vintage items for you to purchase from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. On Saturday join us for the annual Pet Parade at 10:00 am downtown this year's theme will be "Trolls". Dress up you favorite pet in their best troll theme attire and come down for a fun time. Saturday also features Dog Daze a fun family event hosted by the Tecumseh Area Chamber of Commerce at Cal Zorn Park. (Click here for more details!)

John W Smith Park will host the 4th annual Art in the Park, June 10 & 11, located at 804 North Evans Street in Tecumseh. This promises to be a great experience. Perfect setting, booth sitters, indoor artist lounge and more await artists at Art in the Park. Visitors to Art in the Park will experience a broad array of quality, original art in each booth.
