40th Annual Promenade Tecumseh Historic Home Tour

Promenade Tecumseh Historic Home Tours

11:00 am to 5:00 pm

Throughout the City of Tecumseh

"Through the Doors of Tecumseh... Enter Our Past" is the theme for the 40th Annual Promenade Tecumseh Home Tour. Visitors will enjoy touring local homes during this two-day event from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Live entertainment will be featured at many of the locations throughout the weekend. 

Start your day Saturday at the Tecumseh Fire Department's Pancake Breakfast from 8:00 am - 10:00 am.  They are also planning an Open House, survival flight helicopter landing at 9:30 am (weather permitting) and kid's water games from 10:00 am to Noon. The Fire Department is located at 101 E. Russell Rd. Call 517-423-4545 for details. 

2016 Promenade Tecumseh tour locations are as follows: 9159 Clinton-Macon Rd., 302 W. Pottawatamie, 502 W. Chicago Blvd., 9561 Carson Hwy. and 309 W. Pottawatamie St. Residents will open their homes for visitors to enjoy. In addition, The Palmer Block (the former Eagles Building) at 125 South Evans St. will be on tour as an "in progess" site as construction begins on the renovation project. 

The First Presbyterian Church is celebrating the 150th anniversary of when the building was constructed they are located at 211 W. Chicago Blvd. Be cure to stop by and visit this beautiful church. The Carnegie Artist Studios at 304 W. Chicago Blvd. are included on the tour as well. Tickets are not needed for these two locations.

Downtown Tecumseh merchants invite you to "Come Sit A Spell" as you spend a relaxing summer evening shopping and dining.  Merchants will host a "Chair"ity event to benefit the Lenawee Humane Society. Each participating merchant will have a decorated chair in front of their business. They encourage you to vote for your favorite chair inside their store with a monetary donation. The money raised will be donated to help care for the adorable pets at the humane society. As a cuddly addition to the event there will be some "adoptable" pets strolling downtown for you to meet. Merchants will be open late for a peaceful evening of shopping and dining on the boulevard. So bring your honey, your family and friends...come take a stroll and sit a spell... come see all that Tecumseh has to offer.

John W Smith Park will host the 4th annual Art in the Park, June 4 & 5, located at 804 North Evans Street in Tecumseh. This promises to be a great experience. Perfect setting, booth sitters, indoor artist lounge and more await artists at Art in the Park. Visitors to Art in the Park will experience a broad array of quality, original art in each booth. Tecumseh's Sidewalk Sales/ Summer Street Party & Beer Tent

Join in on the fun and savings during Tecumseh's Annual Sidewalk Sales. This year, merchants will offer great deals during their annual sidewalk sales on July 15 & 16 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. With some stores offering extended hours on Friday morning and evening.

The Summer Street Party and Beer Tent will be hosted by Evans Street Station. They will serve food and beverage Friday, from 4 pm to midnight and Saturday from noon to midnight. Live music will be performed both days from 7 pm to 11:30 pm. 

Fun activities are being planned to compliment this great annual Sidewalk Sales event. The Market on Evans - formerly, the Tecumseh Farmers Market has moved to North Evans St, they will be open Saturday with fresh local produce, handmade items, antiques and vintage items for you to purchase from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

You won't want to miss all the fun in Downtown Tecumseh on July 15 & 16.
